In our last post you learned what the Facebook Pixel is about, why it is so important and what you can do with it to make the most of your Facebook ads. Now that you’ve implemented the piece of code in your website (or we can do it for you!), we’re going to tell you how to use it to really get in front of your customers!
How to use a Facebook Pixel
After installing the pixel code you’ll be collecting behaviour and demographic data from all users.
Let’s say you run a travel agency. By installing Facebook Pixel, you’ll be collecting information from users interested in your “Tropical Treats Bali”, “Dream Cruises Asia” and “Enchanting South America” deals. You’ll also be able to track the ones who started the booking process, sent an enquiry or left your site as soon as they saw the price. And as if that wasn’t enough, you can get their demographic data and interests too.
Summer holidays are coming, so you decide to run a Facebook ad campaign to show breathtaking landscapes and engage users to click through and buy your deals.
You can use the information that the Facebook Pixel has gathered to create highly targeted messages.
A 25 year old male user who loves trekking and is planning to go with friends to South America won’t engage with a picture showing a luxury cruise or a family beach day. You’ll want to show him group deals and the most beautiful landscapes of Peru, for example.
You can even re-engage users who were just about to complete the booking process by offering them an irresistible special discount.
Get those personalised messages out there
Following with our example, you would create a Custom Audience targeting users that viewed your South America deal. You can add any rules and demographic details to these. Create as many custom audiences as your creativity allows!
Add those beautiful Peru landscapes, set a daily budget, start running your ads, and wait for the results!
We can do it for you
You don’t need to do all this process yourself. We can create, optimise and maintain your and report on Facebook campaigns, while you deal with all of those extra clients!
