So They Can Videography
Smokeylemon was approached by veteran broadcaster Patrick Gower and ex All Black and Taranaki local Conrad Smith to capture their charity ride for ‘So They Can’, a not for profit organisation committed to empowering children living in poverty through education.
The ride was 136km in total, starting in the small beach village of Ōakura south of New Plymouth, around the south side of Mt Taranaki through Stratford, Douglas to the final destination Whangamōmona.
The ride included a broad spectrum of ages, occupations and backgrounds all putting in the hard pedal to raise awareness and funds for ‘So They Can’ surpassing their goal, raising $54,000 in total!
Smokeylemon had a team of three (including the Big Cheese) shadowing the event with a drone and multiple cameras at hand.
Working closely with Paddy, Conrad and the ‘So They Can’ team Smokeylemon put together a comprehensive coverage package including shotlists, storyboard and interview questions + video editing and social media content.
Smokeylemon was very proud to cover the event and donate their time for such a worthy cause.

Photography
As well as shooting video, we shot a range of photos during the day for So They Can and Patrick to use to publicise the event and draw attention to the fundraiser via their socials.
